The Ecology Action Center
The Ecology Action Center is a walk-in information and environmental
education center for McLean County. We provide information and programs on a variety of environmental topics including recycling, clean water, and energy.
Mission Statement:
To inspire and assist residents of McLean County in creating, strengthening, and preserving a healthy environment.
Your Contribution
Want to know what you can do to help the environment? First, you can help
your community out locally by becoming a member of the Ecology Action Center.
You can also donate money which will be used to help our programs! Want to do
more? You can also become a volunteer. There are also many lifestyle choices
that one can make that are more environmentally friendly and promote
sustainability.
Membership
To become a member, simply fill out the "Become a Member" section
of the Membership Brochure,
and send in that section, along with your check, to the:
Ecology Action Center
202 W. College Ave
Normal, IL 61761
Volunteerism
To become a volunteer, simply come into the Ecology Action Center and sign
up! Volunteer experience can be counted towards college credit, if applicable,
and will always look great on a résumé. Volunteers can work with
children, both here and at the Children's Discovery Museum, attend events such
as fairs and fests, and assist the Ecology Action Center staff.
Living Choices
If becoming a member or a volunteer just isn’t for you, you can still help
out the environment by making lifestyle changes. Check out the links on the
left for ideas and suggestions on how to become a sustainable being. You can
also visit local events such as the
Illinois Sustainable Living & Wellness Expo.
