Clean Water Children’s Program-April 14, 10:30-11:30am
April 14 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am
The Ecology Action Center’s Clean Water program teaches students about Bloomington-Normal’s water resources and pollution prevention related to storm drains. We discuss how the water cycle works to provide all living things with fresh water, and why it is so important that we work to protect our limited fresh water supplies. We finish with a discussion around our interactive Enviroscape model that demonstrates the different ways in which pollution can enter our water system. During this discussion, students are able to come up with their own ideas for protecting our water which are incorporated into the overall lesson. It is a fun and engaging program that will leave students excited to take care of their local waterways!
This program will be held at Anderson East Shelter at Anderson Park on April 14th at 10:30am. This program is appropriate for ages 6-10 years of age but can accommodate those older and younger. Parents are welcome (but not required) to join. Registration is required below!
