In partnership with the Illinois Prairie Community Foundation and the City of Bloomington, the EAC has spearheaded a project to bring recycling to Downtown Bloomington! Four new permanent recycling bins now occupy the downtown square. However, these four bins are not likely to fulfill the need of downtown; more recycling receptacles will be needed. Some local businesses and individuals are already stepping up, offering to purchase additional recycling bins to supplement these funded by the IPCF grant. In response, the EAC is offering sponsorships–donors contributing either the full cost or half cost of a recycling bin will receive recognition on a new downtown recycling bin through a small sign or decal affixed to the recycling bin. Donations of any amount are welcomed and appreciated, but donations below the noted sponsorship levels will NOT receive recognition on the recycling bins.
