Grand Prairie Bird Alliance Fall Bird Walk: October 12, 2025

The final Grand Prairie Bird Alliance bird walk of the fall will be on October 12 from 8:00-9:30am at Hidden Creek Park, 100 W. Sycamore, where Normal Parks is doing a wonderful job of restoring the native plants that attract birds, both migrating and year-round. Leaders will be Lenore Sobota and Given Harper. Bird walks are appropriate for all ages and all skill levels. (Seriously, there is no pressure to know anything about birds! We can give you some tips, or you can just walk along with us and appreciate us appreciating the birds.) We even have 6 pairs of loaner binoculars!

Hidden Creek is smaller and is fully accessible for those with mobility devices. It’s also a smaller park with great birding not too far from your parked car. There are also benches throughout, so it’s a great birding spot for those who need to take breaks.
