The Ecology Action Center was founded over 50 years ago in 1971 as a one-day, one-time recycling drive. Looking forward to the next 50 years and the growing list of current environmental challenges, we have created a new endowment fund to help provide for greater financial stability–the 2071 Fund.
The Ecology Action Center has created this endowment fund with the objective of generating annual interest to supplement other funding sources. A well managed endowment reflects our prioritization of long-term stability and financial viability. In addition to reducing dependence on public funding from local governments, this endowment fund will serve as a safety net for unanticipated economic downturns.
Your contribution to the Ecology Action Center’s 2071 Endowment Fund will help provide for important environmental services and programs for generations to come. Your donation will help grow the principal of this fund which will then allow for annual disbursements of interest to support environmental efforts; the principal will not be spent, but rather will continue to grow and provide benefits in perpetuity.
As the Ecology Action Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law.
