The city of Normal has been a leader in innovative energy conservation, efficiency and renewable energy initiatives and has made significant progress in reducing its carbon footprint. In recognition of its many achievements, the Illinois Sierra Club is presenting Normal with a 2012 Cool Cities Achievement Award Saturday, January 12th at 1:00 pm at the new Uptown Station. The award will be presented to Mayor Koos by Jack Darin, Director, Illinois Sierra Club.
