Sensible Salting Workshop 2026 (October 22, 2026 8:00am-3:00pm)
Join the Ecology Action Center, McHenry County, and The Conservation Foundation for a workshop all about sensible salting. This workshop will introduce the issue of chloride pollution in McLean County and provide an overview of current best management practices which maintain safety on roadways, parking lots, and sidewalks while minimizing impacts on our water and infrastructure. This workshop is great for municipal operation staff, private contractors, landowners, and citizens. Registration is required.

11:00am: Lunch break, lunch provided

2:30-3:00pm: Sensible salting liability and closing remarks
